Trip: It’s a well-thought out intinerary.
Service: Lori Bodkin; tour director, Paul Clinton; tour driver, Wendell; Whistler guide, Bob; the Mountie, were great. They were informative, accommodated everyone idiosyncrasies, never showed annoyance, they were patient, helpful, courteous, polite. In short, respectful at all times. They went out of their way to make everyone comfortable and for all to experience the best that Insight can offer. All hotels were top class, buffet breakfasts were excellent. Choice of restaurants were very good. Lori made sure we had the best time. We were looked after very well indeed! Thank you Lori, Paul, Wendell and Bob.

Trip: Everything was great for the whole trip. My favorite of all was the Capilano Suspension Bridge and treetop adventure there. If I looked for an exception to the total greatness would be the train. The sleeper cabin was way too small to be comfortable and going down the aisle to shower was inconvenient. The train attendants and food, however, was great!
Service: Lori Bodkin was extremely fabulous with capital letters and so was Paul our bus driver. Over the top!!

Trip: A bit long. If we do it again, 10 days tour will be better.
Service: Nancy is a top rated tour director, Owen is a top rated driver. We were pleased with your service. The disappointment was Chung got very ill, this 17 days of tour we only completed 8 days, we had to rush back to US and checked in the hospital ER. We were wondering is there any credit left in our account?

Trip: Everything was outstanding except that the Canadian train arrived 18 hours late in Vancouver, costing us a day of sightseeing and touring in Toronto--a big disappointment. Our train was sidelined many times to allow numerous, lengthy freight trains to pass. As nice as our train was, with excellent meals and service, I would recommend deleting it from future itineraries.
Service: Our tour director, Karen Frey, was superb (as was our motorcoach driver Owen); the hotels were first class; the itinerary, well planned; the included meals were excellent; the local guides personable and knowledgeable; and the Canadian national parks were magnificent.

Trip: Magnificent scenery and tour took in all the best sights with excellent included experiences. However too much time was spent, often at lunch, in small towns where we would be left for over an hour with nothing to do except browse gift shops as most of us didn't require lunch, evening meals often being included. Far too much time in Whistler for example - a one hour walking tour one day then a whole afternoon free the next day. We should have spent much more time at beauty spots such as Shannon Falls, Enerald Lake etc. rather than the 10-20 mins allocated. Even at Lake Louise, we arrived in the evening, rushed for dinner and then left at 10.00 am the next day leaving very little time to walk around the Lake. The tour did not really allow for those who wanted to do a bit of walking or more detailed photography in beauty spots rushing us from these to give us free time in built up areas. Included highlights, aside from scenery, included Capillano Suspension Bridge, the Athabasca Glacier, the river raft trip and our optional Bear Photo Safari.
Service: Absolutely excellent service from Nancy, the tour director for the first part of our trip (Majesty of the Rockies itinerary). Entertaining and enthusiastic as well as efficient! However our experience in arriving in Toronto were quite different. Admittedly the arrangements here were all changed because of our late arrival off the train (1 1/2 days late) but Colette, the tour director here told us repeatedly she was not an Insight employee and didn't know what was going on. She was a very pleasant lady, but seemed very confused. We had to search for her at the station as she didn't stand prominently to meet us. She actually couldn't find her way out of the station to where the mini-bus was waiting and twice had to ask directions. In Niagra there was confusion over where tickets were picked to be picked up for boat trip, she couldn't find restaurant in hotel for our meal and took us to the wrong floor. We all aririved back at mini bus on time but not her and the driver had to go to find her and on the way back to Toronto she put back her seat and fell asleep! Our group felt like we were shepherding her around rather than the other way! Also she knew nothing about our tour of Toronoto bus ticket vouchers and had to ring her 'boss' to ask and there were further issues over how to arrange our final airport transfers. Somehow she didn't explain clearly to hotel concierges and we ended up in the wrong car which was recalled to hotel after journey started and we were transferred to another car. We appreciate that she was employed by another company contracted by Insight and that all arrangements had been last minute, but basically the tour rep in Toronto was very poor! Such a shame after the excellent service on the rest of holiday.
