Trip: Hotels were great, however one hotel was too far from the city center. Understand it was a last minute change.
Service: Eight hour bus and train trip too long. Better meal planning for that day would have been preferred. Ellen did a good job.

Trip: I mentioned in the previous note: the destinations seemed to be the ideal ones to see mountains, country-side, cities, historic and contemporary sites, and points of unusual interest such as the WWII military installations within mountains.
Service: The selecting and planning of each destination, hotel, and excursion was ideal; the tour guide, bus and bus-driver were ideal; the information provided along the way; and the smoothing out of any possible glitches was done so well by the tour guide and bus driver, that the guests would scarcely know there was no glitch - a construction or other traffic problem on the way, etc. Yes: we would recommend Luxury Gold. Trip: As I stated previously, much too long for a 10 day trip.
Service: The staff at Hideaways was very helpful, especially as we got closer to our departure date and the last hotel on the itinerary was cancelled out and replaced with the Burgenstock spa. We did not get our documents until the week before the trip. Kudos to Hector Flores!

Trip: It was well planned; every city brought us something interesting -- one slight change you could make -- only 4 people took advantage of the armistice museum in Lucerne -- perhaps an art museum could be another option. Many of us went on our own.
Service: Carl was an amazing tour director -- he knew a lot about everything and made the trip outstanding!

Trip: I was physically attacked in Geneva by a young man with a large dog who was trying to steal my purse. I suffered whiplash as a result. Another woman had her wallet stolen out of her purse in Geneva. We were warned about Lucerne but Geneva is the dangerous city.
Service: Most things were good but a few things were very bad. The tour director (Rob) and driver (Marcel) were excellent. Some accommodations were disappointing; we were often given tiny rooms (much smaller than other Luxury Gold guests). The "highlight meal" in the Michelin star restaurant was terrible. It would have been better to delete it from the itinerary and include more lunches and dinners at non-Michelin star restaurants.

Trip: great cities visited, good job.
Service: Would definitely recommend, and will use again. Carl, our tour director, was amazing at his job, EXCELLENT. The only disappointment was the hotel in Lucerne. 3 star at best, and having to leave our windows open at night due to no a/c meant we heard street noises al night. Strongly suggest Insight find a better hotel or take Lucerne off schedule. Not the right note to end an extremely enjoyable vacation on.
