Beatrice Tollman, President and Founder of Red Carnation Hotels, has built a collection of award-winning luxury hotels renowned around the world for their warm welcome, personal service and generous hospitality. In recognition of her legacy, she was inducted into the British Travel & Hospitality Hall of Fame in 2019.<\/em><\/p>\n

Stepping onto the River Tosca is a unique return to the golden era of travel. Every time I am welcomed on board this spectacular ship, I never cease to be amazed by the old-world grandeur that escorts us down the Nile. But most of all, I love the warmth of the team who makes each guest feel at home.<\/p>\n

We challenged our long-standing design team, who works across all our Red Carnation Hotels and Uniworld ships, to create something that symbolizes individuality and luxury, two ideals at the forefront of everything we do. We spared no expense in her construction and design, and sourced furniture and d\u00e9cor from collectors and auction houses all over the world.<\/p>\n

Signature upholstery adorns the walls of our spacious rooms, whilst the ship\u2019s unique furnishings were custom-made by a family in Bali with Egyptian heritage. Her marble floors were consciously selected and imported from Italy, whilst fabrics and carpets were devised and made in England, to our own design.<\/p>\n

I feel most at home within the ship\u2019s library, with all the charm you\u2019d expect from a room priding itself on its golden-age d\u00e9cor. This includes mahogany furniture, beautiful drapes and a selection of classic books to choose from. A romantic spot to watch the world go by, perhaps devour Agatha Christie\u2019s \u201cDeath on the Nile,\u201d as you sail along the book\u2019s backdrop.<\/p>\n

Our English afternoon tea, served on the top deck, is a true indulgent highlight, whilst dinner is a more formal affair with several delicious courses. Our culinary team regularly goes out into the local markets to source the freshest produce for our guests, modifying our daily menus to serve what is in season, with great care and passion.<\/p>\n

Above all, our devoted staff truly makes the River Tosca exceptional. Uncommon to most cruise ships, we use the same staff on all our voyages. We consider everyone as part of our family, nurturing them, investing in them and training them to the highest quality, ensuring that they feel happy and inspired.<\/p>\n

This allows us to constantly improve our service, tailoring it to the individual requirements of our guests and ensuring that we fulfill our promise to make travel personal. With us, no request is too large and no detail too small. We look forward to welcoming you onboard.<\/p>\n
